Blue Victorian Corset
Blue Victorian Corset
San Francisco Opera's 2007 production of Cenerentola for the Merola program was designed by Katherine Lussie-West. In this particular production of Cenerentola the step sister weren't physically ugly but had rather repulsive personalities. The corset consists of a coutile body covered with a light weight blue borcade which had been dyed from a leaf green. This sadly caused the brocade to loose all of its body making it very difficult to work with. The lace on top and bottom along with the bow are all hand applied. Also show in the chemise that it was worn with on stage.
