I made this hat for myself to go with a purchased dress. The dress was black and olive green and in the late Victorian style. Its hard for me to put an exact year but I would say the dress was circa 1880. I started with a crinoline base and add lace, ribbon loops and feathers. The back has long satin ribbon loops hanging down and wide loop of a rayon "chain" braid.
