Paisley Dickensian Waistcoat

Paisley Dickensian Waistcoat

So goes my photography.  I hope you can still tell what it is.

It is a silk jaquard waistcoat I made for one of the featured characters the Dickens' Christmas Fair.   Double breasted with the most delicious little buttons and lavender silk shawl lappels and pockets.  Lavender cotton backing for comfort.  Ms. Beeton would be very pleased with the green & lavender color combination, it is one of her recommendations.   Thats part of why neither of us could resist the fabric even though it is rather fragile for a waistcoat and probably wont last as long as many of my creations that are still wandering around the fair a decade later.
