Renaissance Costume

This is one of my very earliest dresses. After wearing it just a few times, I sold this dress for rent money. This is the only picture I still have of it. I did not have a blind stitch or overlock machine back then so all the seams are finished by hand. The neck line, sleeves and skirt edges are finished with burgundy velvet. The velvet neckline is embroidered with gold threads and the sleeves have decorative buttons. The main body of the dress is a burgundy and oatmeal brocade with an oatmeal underskirt and under sleeves.
