I made this for camping events with the SCA. I needed something simple and light weight and it had to be machine washable.

This I made for myself in an afternoon. My only research was in looking at other womens dresses so Im not sure of the accuracy of it. I saw a dress that I liked that had 6 gussets rather than the standard 4. I thought that the fall of the skirt was a little nicer so I decided to copy this style. I also went for the side lacing as it is easier than back lacing for camping and I thought it more stylish than front lacing. I added a contrast band to the hem but didnt really have any idea what to put on it since I havnt decided very much about my persona so I embroidered mullets of four points or or gold stars.
