Victorianization of Modern Vest

Victorianization of Modern Vest

It isn't always possible to make something new for every event. In this case I purchased a modern vest a few sizes larger than desired, then raised the shoulders, cut down the neck and re-shaped the back in order to give the desired lines. It took only very few hours to shop, fit and stitch the vest, as compared with making a new waistcoat from measurements. As long as he didn't remove his coat and expose the acetate back, everything was just wonderful.
