This was my last corset of 2010 and it was nice to finish the year in such elegance. The corset it made from coutil custom dyed to match the corset fabric. If the corset ever needs to be mended for any reason, its very unsightly to have black or white coutil showing though. I have never had to patch a corset that I have made although I have patched many by other makers. I always like to do this because it adds another layer of quality to my corsets. This particular corset features a antique bronze busk, grommets and subtle but striking embroidery in taupe. All of the seams are embroidered as well. The inside of the corset is reinforced with nylon twill tape including a nylon waist tape to prevent any stretching at the waist. Both top and bottom are finished with imported petersham ribbon. This corset is colorful enough to be striking or subtle enough to disappear under and evening dress.
